Happy Hour at the Side Door - Mammoth Lakes, CA

If you're tired of the other great restaurants in Mammoth Lakes, and looking for a good happy hour that is unique and different, then the Side Door in the Village might just be the place you're craving.   First of all, the "happy hours" are an extremely easy target to hit, as Side Door serves the happy hour menu from 5pm to 7:30pm!  This is amazing in an "apres ski" environment where most restaurants seem to expect you to be drinking at 3pm and passed out somewhere between 4pm and 6pm!  In the summer, it seems a bit silly.

For exactly this reason, after a long day outdoors, we headed to the Side Door to try out their happy hour.  For $10 each, we choose from an expansive menu of paninis and savory crepes, and also our choice of soup or side or even a dessert crepe!  For example, I had the Unbound crepe and the vegetable soup.  Combined with a Mammoth Brewery IPA, it was a substantial meal for less than $15!

My wife went with the Smoked Turkey Panini and the sangria, and had the Lupin dessert crepe as her second choice off of the happy hour menu.

Our son went with the Side Door Club, and followed it with a Nutella! crepe.  Since he was in shorts and a t-shirt, but it had cooled off quickly as the sun set, a nice hot apple cider warmed him up.
