Painted Desert and Petrified Forest National Park

It's getting late, and we have many miles to go tomorrow, but I couldn't go to bed without posting these pix from today's visit to the Painted Desert and Petrified Forest National Park.  We almost drove by it, vowing to return when we really had time to camp and hike...and it's likely that we will do so again in the future.  There are just too many places in Arizona that we have to see!  So, since I-40 takes us literally right through the middle of these parks, I had to detour for a few hours, and we're all glad that we did!  Check out these pictures....
