After today's hike, there was no way I was going to cook, so we ran a few errands in town and ended up at zpizza (http://www.zpizza.com/). I'm not a huge fan of chains, but it seems like my wife does better when she doesn't eat gluten, and zpizza offers a gluten-free crust. This was enough to pull us in to give it a try. The good news - the pizza was fantastic. The bad news - the gluten-free crust is only available in small, and there's a couple dollars up-charge so a small pizza ends up costing what we're used to paying for a medium. However, it's understandable since gluten free flours like quinoa are way more expensive than regular wheat flour. All in all, these were delicious pies, and the Firestone Walker Brewery DBA on tap was a welcome addition (http://www.firestonebeer.com/beers/products/dba-double-barrel-ale). We'll be going back, and zpizza may just be our new favorite pizza in Mammoth Lakes. The organic ingredients and gluten-free or whole wheat crust options give it a "healthy feel", even though I have to check the nutrition tables on their web site out before I'll call it health food! It was certainly a higher quality meal than we normally get on pizza night!
Yes, there are a couple slices of the Hawaiian gone, once again I wasn't fast enough with the camera!
