Canyonlands National Park and our Bad Sumo Moment

The national parks just keep getting better and better.  Canyonlands National Park offered panoramic vistas, more wildflowers, and numerous short hikes to keep the family fit yet not complaining.  It was also nice to have cell phone service and easy access to Moonflower Market in Moab for local, grass-fed beef and the best selection of healthy grocery items that really matter in a small store anywhere in the USA.

Upheaval Dome gave us a good lesson in salt domes, and provided a good scare for Mum as our son chose a vantage point a little too near the edge for her taste.  After Angel's Landing, this was no big deal for me.

Here's an example of the short, fun trails....

...and as promised, our bad Sumo moment.

Canyonlands is famous for this arch, and the many sunrise pictures taken of it with the underside lit with a beautiful golden light.  Since we don't do sunrise often, you get this late afternoon picture instead.
