Death Valley - Who says it isn't colorful?

One of the nicer hikes we did in Death Valley was Mosaic Canyon.  It started off reminiscent of Golden Canyon...

...but the walls quickly closed in and became much smoother to the touch.

There was still the layer of conglomerate rock, but now it sat upon a much more beautiful layer of polished marble.

Here is a close-up of the marble rock...amazing!

We played quite a bit in the cooler shade of Mosaic Canyon, sliding down the polished rocks and jumping from the walls.

Looking through the pictures of Death Valley, I am amazed by the colors.  Here a few shots taken on a drive to Zabriskie Point.
