The Golden View, Florence - Migliore Ospitalita! Best Restaurant in Florence, Italy!!!

Of all the restaurants in Italy that we have enjoyed, The Golden View is the winner by a mile!  Sure, the pasta at Felice was better - it was akin to a life-changing experience.  However, the wild boar sauce at the Golden View wins for THE BEST MEAT SAUCE IN ITALY!  As well, the Golden View wins on sheer friendliness and consistent quality of, GASP, take-away food!  The cafe and restaurant offer incredible meals and views when eating in.  The Golden View also realizes that there are those days where you are so exhausted from walking and touring that you want to eat in your apartment and unwind, and they cater to the take out customer with the same quality as they give to table service.   You walk in, and you are greeted immediately and given the option of eating in or taking out.  Most good restaurants in our neighborhood say something quite different.  "Take away?"  "No, we don't do take away you fatto turista!" 

Honestly, I can't recommend the Golden View enough.  You have seen the pizza from Golden View on a previous post.  Here is the Wild Boar Pasta, and a Four Cheese Pizza featuring local, extra-strong Gorgonzola (our son's favorite, one of the stinkiest cheeses in the world but amazing in flavor especially on this pizza).

Mama Mia!  The wild boar meat sauce is better than my sister's ex-mother-in-law's family recipe marinara sauce, and she was first generation Italian-American!  At the risk of repeating myself, if you are staying in Florence, this is the restaurant to visit, not once, but more than once!
